Each member of the GROW team is committed to advancing sustainable solutions in the field of environmental remediation using low-energy nature-based solutions. Even so, control was occasionally asserted over the utilization of social research findings, what project information was disclosed, and who was included on the team, disregarding the independence of social science inquiry. The social science team research genomic, environmental, economic, ethical, legal, and social aspects of the project. Despite industry partners not directly funding social science work (including artist’s drafts, work, and statements), the social science team was subject to screening and review by industry collaborators.
