They communicate female experience through modern thought mixed and juxtaposed with ancient ideals and stereotypes. The sheet has been re-employed as clothing, stating bodily ownership and sexual acceptance. One model was used in the paintings to represent women practicing choice, voice, self acceptance, self protection and conviction.
